The subject of the diploma thesis is the conceptual design of the children’s oncology hospital in Poznań. The main aspiration was to look for aesthetic solutions of spaces and functional zones of the hospital building in Poznań in the Strzeszyn district. A beautiful background is a therapy for the soul and speeds up the hospitalization process. The planned health care facility was treated as a hotel, i.e. a place of temporary stay of the patient. Openness manifests itself in increasing the participation of loved ones in the treatment process and the introduction of commercial functions throughout the hospital. The proposed hospital is a project tailored to the needs of children and older users, with and without disabilities. A space has been planned to allow free movement and independent use of the surroundings. A visible visual and manual information system of the hospital was provided, based on an organized functional system. An ergonomic workplace for the staff was designed and the patient’s sense of privacy was taken care of. There are elements of fun that divert attention from health problems. Natural light is introduced even into enclosed corridor spaces.
The designed facility consists of several segments located in branches and a hotel. Each segment has its own courtyard, which significantly increases the aesthetic value of the building and improves it for lighting.
When designing, I used programs such as: for the model — Archicad, visualizations — 3ds max, post-production — photoshop.
